I just wanted to show you these three O Gauge trains items. They are all from the Hornby clockwork O gauge trains range as fasr as i can tell, certainly I recognise the level crossing directy from my own memory. The goods van brake van is very familiar too. I’m not quite so sure about the tin plate station though. It would fit in well with any O gauge train set layout I believe, but I’m not convinced it’s a Hornby original. Anyway, here are the pictures:

<!--

I bought the above locomotive at an auction recently, (sold as tested, working). I do not have a layout. The model is in a display case. However, I recently tried to rotate the driving wheels by hand but found them unable to move. Should they rotate without power?
Also there are two rods with buttons on the end inside the cab. Can you tell me what these controls do?

Many thanks

I have finally started to build my Japanese N Gauge Modern Image Railway Layout, As you may see, this Model Railway is in VERY early stages of construction and the track work is incomplete as the lower level track is currently one line and I need some more Kato piers to finish off the Elevated Shinkansen lines. This Layout is based in the Kansai Prefecture just outside of Osaka and the local lines will be served by local Diesel Multiple Units (DMU’s) and Electric Multiple Units (EMU’s) for passenger services and with passing heavy haul freight trains. The scenery will be a medium-density city with high-rise buildings and a station for the local trains. As this city will be based quite near to Osaka, there will not be a station on the Shinkansen lines as this will allow the Shinkansen and TGV trains that I will eventually run on the layout to operate at high speeds. There will also be a Buddhist Temple and some recreation parks for the local residents and a depot for the local trains that will be based on the layout. I intend to fit led lighting to most of the buildings on this layout to allow some operations at night of which I am hoping it will make this layout look rather spectacular at night as well as daytime. My next task is to buy more track and points for the lower level lines and to draw out the locations of where the city and the fields are going to be. Also I am hoping to have the Shinkansen line completed by the time I get round to doing Phase Two video of this project!
